Default Garage/House build

In the not-to-distant future I want to build a small house (1700-1800 sq ft living space) with a six car garage. I want it to be all on one level, not a garage with an apartment on top. I haven't found anyone that has done this, and I figured I'd have to get it drawn up as soon as I started thinking about what I needed. Anyone done anything like this or know anyone that might do such a design?

Thanks

Think about a three car wide by two car deep or vice versa depending on your lot size and budget. I've seen several ranch style homes designed like this over the years as 1,800 sq/ft with 3 car garages, garage gets expanded back, or on an angle to make it larger.

Call a local architect. They should be able to meet all of your needs and follow all the local building codes.

Like Chris D. said "Call a local architect". Upfront it may seem costly but in the end you will definitely reap the benefits because you will end up with a home/shop that you want.
Trust me on this, I was in construction, custom home building for 35 years and the happiest, most satisfied clients were those that utilized the help of an architect, rather than those that tried to go it on their own with a hodgepodge of design.

Remeber house for the wife....shop for you....put only your "must haves" in the house design...let the wife have final say....the garage/shop is yours...ask for her "input" on the garage/shop but do your own thing...win/win...
