CJ Update -Asking Cobra Comm. Support
Many of you read my post a few weeks ago about our grandson, CJ, and his fight with Stage 3 Cancer. Acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. Right away you posted so many comments, prayers and good wishes. We made a seperate folder for CJ while he was in the hospital and he was so happy and pleased that so many "big guys" would take the time to write to a little boy. While at home he has been answering lots of emails and letters. His Dad told him recently to take a break and come play xbox. He replied that in a few years no one would remember the xbox games but that the emails and letters would mean a lot. (Remember that he is 9 years old).
He has been going 3 times a week for 5 hours of chemmo, shots, spinal taps and treatments. In a couple weeks we will have a scan to see what is happening so far with the tumors.
My daughter has purchased some Pray for CJ bracelets to help with his extra expenses. I am coming to the Cobra Community and asking you guys to purchase one. Not only does it help his expenses, it helps his spirit. I am asking $5.00 for one but you can give whatever you can or if you want one for free please email your address to me and I'll send you one. You can either purchase through our website at www.finishlineaccessories.com in the new items section, email me or go to my daughter's blog at www.georgefamilyblog.com and pay through pay pal. If you do that please in the comment section mention that you are one of the cobra guys. Also, if you go through the blog, please scroll down and read a little about CJ and some of his poems.
My daughter's friends, church and family have come through for CJ. Now I want to introduce them to the Cobra Community! Many heartfelt thanks for everything. For myself, I ask nothing, for my Grandson, I'll ask anything.
Paula and Enzo Alibrandi
Finish Line
P.S. Last night his hair finally started falling out in the tub. His comment was that at least we know the medicine is working!

CJ is not only stout hearted, but wise far beyond his years. You folks must be awfully proud of him.
You are all still in my family's prayers.

wow this really hit me hard, my prayers will be with that special boy i too have a son only 4. i made a donation and look forward to the bracelets, me and my wife will wear them.
when i was a child around cj's age i too had some issues, i was getting blood clots sick all the time, tired and was going through many tests as well, no one could find anything wrong with me. one point a dr told my parents that they think i might have leukemia. i was told to not take part in any physical activity no gym class, no bikes , nothng due to the fact that if i hit my head i ran a high risk of internal bleeding, i was even given a special helmet to wear from the moment i got out of bed to when i went back to bed.... long story short, through prayers and our faith, i over came this and drs couldnt explain it how i was such a sick little boy to a little boy who had nothing wrong with him. test after test all came back with no signs of what they diagnosed me with.
so stay strong, cause little cj trully is, he is a fighter and someday he will be a leader in his everyday life.

Enzo,
Best wishes for your grandson. Our families are no doubt our most prized possessions.
I'll migrate over to Finishlineaccessories.com a little later tonight.

This is CJ
Hi Guys,
This is CJ. I wanted to say thanks for all the support and comments. I am sending bracelets to you and it is fun to pack the envelopes with my mom. I read the posts and it is cool that all these guys are so nice to me and have never met me. I love cars too. One day when I am a little older me and my dad want to build a car together. My poppa just got me a go-cart but now I can not ride it until I get better but it is a lot of fun and I can't wait to get back to the track.
Well thank you for praying for me.
From
CJ

Just received my bracelet in the mail yesterday.
Thank you CJ and Paula.
I've already had some people ask me what it's for and after I explained, they said they were going to order some.
Keep the faith big guy.

Just got my bracelet in the mail. I'm wearing it with pride for CJ. He's quite the young man with a great attitude.

Yesterday I ordered a Clock, a watch and a bracelet for CJ. I specifically ordered the ones from Finishline, so I could add a bracelet in as well.

I placed my holiday order with Finishline...and my kids ordered 2 CJ bracelets. We want to bring this thread back up to the top and encourage our fellow CC'ers to do the same. (not to mention there are some great holiday specials going on!)
