Default Trying to figure out the builder of this Cobra..see pictures

Hello Guys,

I am trying to figure out some information on a particular Cobra. Few questions for the PRO's here...who might the builder be and is this an AC or SC version? Any feedback you can provide would be great. I don't see any stickers anywhere on the car other than the California VIN tag and SB100 Cert.

Thanks!

It looks like a West Coast Cobra

Kind of irrelevant with this one ...but side pipes and a roll bar on a replica makes it an "SC" style.

Does look like a West Coast. (dash gives it away) Not sure on those strange home made front bumpers...

Thanks for your input, much appreciated! The West Coast looks like the one. What transmission would be in there, I know it's an automatic. Is West Coast a good builder?

I was scrolling and saying that's a WC Cobra ..... CW just verified what I was thinking.

To me the sure markers were in the stretched length and the rear fenders.

I've heard they are a solid (and heavy) car.

looks like its before west coast, it seems to be a kellison (west coast bought his design) i would guess 1980 thru 1982 model years,
that would have a 429-460 with a c-6 automatic. west coast changed the dash length alittle and that one has the original kellison alumin.cast one.
torino steering column, vega hand brake, kellison steering wheel. frame is the beefiest on the market. car will weigh in at 3250 lbs. kellison widened the car stretched it, has dropped footbox on driver side ford courier heater box, defroster, fiat side markers, fiat windscreen washer. fiberglass is thick as all hell
mines a 79 has no stress cracks. mustang II front crossmember and suspension,
torino 9" rear and torino rear suspension, brakes originally were 9" disc front
torino drum in rear (front brakes suck for weight of car) full lighting including
door pin switches for interior lights under dash, under hood light, trunk light
interior door handles vw type I, 2 sets of golf clubs fit into trunk, with room for overnight bag. it looks sweet, worth 32k-45k depending on mechanical shape.
see kellisonracing.com for other car specs

Never could understand a sports car, much less the Ultimate sports car with an automatic.

Then you might really be surprised on just how many original Cobras came factory equipped with an automatic transmission. Including both "twin supercharged" Cobras...........
