Default d&m motor sports & rousch

goin to look at a few cobras on fri. @ d&m in Glen Elynn il. Anyone have exp. with this place??? All the cars seem to have the rousch 427w in them. One of them even has dual quads, looks great. Is F.I. worth the extra cost? Seems like the cars are around 60-68.... What ya all think????

Brian at Snakepower (D&M's Installer) can install quite a few different motors. Fuel Injection has its good points. But I like the look and feel of the carb under the hood. They have a great selection of rollers to look at, lots of colors, usually the hardest part of a purchase...Kevin is the salesman to talk with...Good luck.

I have driven SPF's with both the FI and the Carb Roush motor, and if you are looking at only drivability I would say it is not worth the cost. If you really want the look then I guess it might be.

IMO, the carb motor pulls harder off the bottom than the FI motor. The owner of SPF (Hillbank) actually swapped out his new FI Roush motor in his GT40 with a carb motor because he liked the carb motor better. I would drive both if you can.

I purchased my roller for Kevin at D & M over a year ago. Very positive experience. I ordered my motor directly from Roush as they are local for me.

I bought 2489 from kevin a couple yrs ago, he's a great guy and D+M is a pro outfit. The associated shop, Snake Power is immaculate and the installs I've seen are very nice. It's not just D+M, Superformance has closely associated with Roush. I decided to go with Keith Craft, a 427 Dart small block that I installed. It was a great experience, I learned A LOT about the car. Good Luck.

Bought my roller from D&M early last year. Flew in, picked my color, signed some paperwork and was good to go within a couple hours. I had my chassis trucked to Detroit for the engine install (iron sideoiler), but checked out the Snakepower work and would have gone with them and Roush if I wanted a windsor. Had a couple followup items I needed from D&M and they took care of them them quickly. Good guys, highly recommended.
