Air vent hose question
Does anyone know where I can get fresh air hose from? It is the one that runs from the front of the car to the heater box. About 4" dia. I think.
Thanks
Rob

"I think" you better measure yours first.

Not sure what length you need, but Moss Motors carries 4" heater hoses. They have various sizes, but a couple of their part numbers for checking are 456-120 (31" in length) and 456-130 which I do not have a length for.

The vinyl hose for your cloths dryer ex./vent hose works and last pretty well. It is available at any place like Home Depot etc., the aluminum hose does not work as well because it is much stiffer and does not take corners as well.

I used SCEET hose from Aircraft Spruce. It is a bit pricey, but I wanted something to stand up to high temperature as it is fairly close to the exhaust headers.

You might be able to get it from McMaster-Carr. http://www.mcmaster.com/

I use hose from Walmart. They sell it in the RV area. It is used to empty the
holding tank on RV's. I used it on my FFR for vents leading from the brake ducts opening to the foot box.
I have since used the same hose on my BDR and corvette for brake cooling ducts. The cheapest answer to your question. It's worth a try and will work.
