Look at the quarter panels on each side and make sure they match. I have seen quite a few where the passenger side sticks out compared to the drivers side. It looks like the mold was twisted. I had this problem and had to hack out a good part of the trunk. I've seen quite a few that were the same way, but they never bothered to attempt to fix it. The easiest way to tell is by standing behind and looking at the spats.

Is the kit complete? If not, I would pass as the company has a known track record of long and painful back orders.

My body is uneven the drivers side sticks out 1"
could you give me some help on this?
It seems i will have to set the body out of centerline by of setting the body on the frame and flex the front fenders.
So much for all the care taken during my frame fab.
Help

Most of the ones I've seen have the rear right wheel lip sticking out by 1" or more compared to the drivers side.

I had to literally cut the trunk floor out of the car and drop the passenger side down. While I was at it, I refabricated the gas tank mounts and stuck the tank higher in the frame so I could drop the rear closer to the ground without worry.

I would run an ad in Cobra Country "Wanted Unfinished Kit" and see if something better popped up. I personally wouldn't want to put good effort and cash into a kit with a less than good reputation. There has to be a Factory Five or some other reputable kit out there that someone has lost interest in, that would have good customer support behind it - and be marketable in the event you want to sell some day.

why not use the Bennet body? I did the paint and body for a guy a couple years back who had a bennet. not the greatest, but not the worst either. a little bit different shape though. send me some pics of your build, I'd be interested to see it. cheers, SRP
