Default Anyone using the C.W.I Jag rear inboard brake setup

I am looking at the CWI Jag rear brake setup that takes the inboard brakes and mounts them on the rear facing side of the differential instead of forward facing. They include Wilwood calipers, Wilwood parking brake calipers, etc. What do you actual users think of the setup? Do you know the part numbers for the calipers and the parking brake calipers? I would like to do some research on what they are using. Also, does it use the stock rotors? Any and all details on the kit, how it works, the pluses and minuses, the parts used etc.... would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The CWI setup is only $695, I can't imagine what George gets, his stuff is VERY pricey! How are you, Jeff?

Why bother?? How often do you think that you will have to change rear pads? Anyway I have the stock jag setup and it takes 5 minutes to change the pads. Why spend the extra money and time????

John,
I suspect our car bodies are different. On the Contemporary that I own, the calipers are pretty tight against the body, and the pads are tough to get to without dropping the rear suspension. Jag actually had a trap door arrangement on the E type that these came from, I'm told, in the car to allow access through the floor.

I have a Jaguar with the inboard brakes. You are going to hate them. I know you don't plan on working on the brakes very often but when you do it is more than an all day job. Everything back there has to be removed to change the rotors. By the boook it is a 10.5 hour job.

I don't have a Contemporary, but working on this rear axle and the brakes is a BIG nightmare. ANYTHING you can do to make the job easier, do it.

I just got done cutting a 'trap door" in my car.

I have the CWI vented rotors and widened Jag calipers in an E-M. They work great, both road and track, and the pads take less than 1/2 hour to change with the car on a lift. The rotors are another story....

Because outboard brakes on our cars tend to separate the wheat from the chaff. *

* On a fully-independent, limited slip, pin-drive set-up of course.

I can change out my pads in 30 minutes as well even with inboard brakes on my CCX. Seems like the XJS might be a nightmare since it is so packed in?
