The first couple years I had mine I would drive it occassionally if it was above 20 degrees out and there wasn'tany salt yet.

There was even two years I drove it on my birthday (January 10th) in Wisconsin.

After a couple years of having it around I am more able to wait for better weather.

I go out at least once a month in the winter. I just use some Stabil in the gas tank and make sure I warm it up for 15 minutes before I go for a ride. Its the easy man's way of winterizing my Cobra.

Had the Cobra out last November about 15 times. This November, I've had about 3 rides max. Go figure.

Best ride is always on January 1st. Do it every year.

We all have different definitions of "cold". We will get some high 30's or low 40's days during the winter in Florida - but what is great about it is, it's at that temp at 6:00 am, so you can experience the cold drive to Starbucks, and then gradually as the sun comes up, so does the temperature. By 8 am "during the cold fronts" we are back up to 50 or so. But it is 'cool'. Rick

Drove mine Saturday, no top, about 25 degrees. It has a heater and I had it cranked up.

I try to take mine out at least once a month.

So far I have not been caught out in the rain.

I have a top for mine, but always feel like putting it up defeats the purpose of having a convertible. Better to just increase the number of layers.

I try to take mine out at least once a month too, but the wife made me put it back and just take the Cobra for a drive!

As long as the sun is out and the road is clear, any temp over 35 is okay. Gotta wear the leathers.

As long as it doesn't rain, I hope to be out in mine this weekend, regardless of temperature.

I had mine out today for a run down town to the doctor. Out here in Washington it must be around 45°. I think I leaned out the idle so much that I had to add some choke to get it to idle even after it was warmed up.

Up here in the boonies of Wisconsin; until next May, the only thing powering my Cobra is a Battery Tender Plus and a healthy dose of Sta-Bil...I know my limitations!

Started my ride today at 50°F and finished at 39°F. Refreshing and invigorating. Love the HP when its cold.

I should have mine out this weekend, I put the top on but I hate to drive it that way.

I guess you have to call me a "cheater" a top and a heater, but down in Houston we dont need much of either

Smile Winter ride

Took Doc for a ride today in Lainhart's Cobra. We drove to Loretto, Tenn. to eat lunch. Then back to Muscle Shoals, Alabama to visit Bobby and then back to Tenn. to look for Doc's cap. We found it on the side of the road about a 1 1/2 miles from the state line.
That's about the same place I hit 110. Cap got suck out of the car. All is well that ends well. Fun day

weather; 45 to 55 degrees and overcast, very nice for winter in North Alabama.
Leather pilots hat, scarf, heavy coat and leather gloves. Did not turn the heater on NO top

Dwight
