Looking for redish/orange 3/8 ID heater hose
All:
I am looking for a 3/8 ID, 3/4 OD Orange (well redish/Orange) Gates heater hose for the original look expansion tank overflow tube for a 427 street car. I have spent days looking for this. Did all the low hanging fruit stuff, researched on Gates website, Faxon, local auto parts stores, extensive google searches, etc. and no luck. Also saw some SAMCO stuff but it is not what I am looking for. I think it just has to be somoene who has this laying around. I have something that will do but it is not a Gates product. Any idea's?

428street,
I actually have some scrap pieces of Gates (reddish) hose, but not in the size you are looking for and no pieces of any great length. There are still a few 'old time' auto parts stores around here, so I'll make a few calls and see if I can locate any for you.

While on the subject.....
392cobra, do you by any chance also happen to know where to find black 1/2" ID heater hose with two thin white (or light colored) stripes side by side? This was used on my car for crankcase ventilation off the back of the intake.

392Cobra:
Thanks for the info...I checked both these sources out already. Goodyear only has red, I need more of a redish/orange and the guy on ebay does not sell 3/8 ID. I asked him specifically and he said he could not get it....thanks again.

Well I had no success in finding 3/8: ID Gates brand Fire-Wall (reddish - orange) heater hose.
Went to (2) different old school parts stores, and after stock checks, catalog searches and a phone call, they both came up empty. Evidently 1/2" ID Gates Fire-Wall heater hose is available, but that's no what you need ... unless you use some type of bushing or adapter. An option for sure, but not ideal.
Maybe someone else out there in CC land can find some?
