New toy for the Cobra (and for work too)
I just bought my new Milwaukee digital micro snake camera. I took the opportunity to stick it down one my new Tunnel Wedge's intake runners. It should work wonders when inspecting gas/ oil warm air furnace heat exchangers..
Please forgive the p!ss poor focus job.
....and it's tax deductable too

Undy,
How long is the lead that has the camera in the end of it? Looks like a great tool.

Very cool. Would that work to fish inside a bellhousing, through the fork hole, to inspect everything and, say, check for oil leaks? Think how many "I think I've got a bad rear seal" threads we get around here and being able to peek inside the bellhousing and inspect around the flywheel/driven disk area would be helpful. I've never suggested it here because I hate to recommend something that I've never actually tried myself first.

I recently used mine to check my sidepipes that were getting very loud & discovered that they no longer had any packing in them.
Great tool to have around, I also had a look in the cylinders through the plug holes. Mine has a mirror attachment that allows you to view 90deg. angles.
Some of these units have much larger cables than others, so if you are contemplating a purchase, compare them all first. The quality varies considerably.

It come's with a 3' lead, expandable to 12' I think. It has three different back light settings and a 2x1 digital zoom. It came with 2 Lithium Ion 12 VDC batteries, a charger and the neatest little (hand held size) 12v drill/driver. All for the paultry sum of $249..

Thanks Undy. Now how big around is the lead that you poke into spaces? Is it small enough to go between the flywheel and block for example. Also where did you get it?

The head's 3/4" in diameter, just too large for a sparkplug hole.
It's on special at Home Depot for $249, including drill, 2 lithium ion batteries and charger. It's a nice "professional grade" piece and am very pleased with it.

Thanks. I appreciate the information. I may go up to Home Depot today and see what they have here.

Tru,
Why not just send your Cobra out to me to keep for the Winter? No snow here.
