Default Long time Weber Guy

Happy New Year to all my old Inglese Weber customers. Its been a while but I still remember the sweet sound and awesome acceleration of a properly tuned FE with IDAs. Currently I am doing muscle cars restoration. With my hand heavly in a 1970 Super Bird. I know this is not a Cobra. However the history behind this car is very cool. This car is the one that was built for the EPA by Ray Nickols. It is noted for being used to take air samples that help with decisions regaurding the lead taken out of fuel.

Hey Dan! Didn't expect to see your name pop up on here! FYI for everyone else--Dan was responsible for most of the setup work on my Weber system on CSX4252 when he was with Total Performance in Wallingford, CT. Very much up to speed on Webers and a heck of a nice guy, too.

If you want to leave some contact info on here, Dan, and don't mind having people track you down with their questions, I'm sure it will be appreciated.

Hey Dan
Just purchased a cobra w/ a 427 FE side oiler and a Weber Inglese setup . Boy , she pops and pops out the exhaust . However she does run strong . I read about the system and understand there is a idle setting up to about 2800 RPM's . I think I'm looking to understand and tune that and not get into jetting and the power range . My question is what can I do to tune these babys . Smooth out the Idle , Equalize and balance each carb and reduce the pops .
Happy New Year and Thanks
Peter

Let me jump back in here quickly. I'm sure Dan would agree that the first thing you should look into after acquiring a Weber setup is purchasing this book:
