New Features at Club Cobra
Here's a few to get you started....
Just click on the "community" button above. There you will find social groups (let me know if there's some categories you want added), pictures and albums (note this is separate from the gallery), contacts and friends (much better than before).
Also, if you go to your control panel, you'll see that you have a more customizable page (got to mine as an example: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/member.php?u=9454 ).
Have fun!

Brent- I noticed that when you are on the clubcobra "home" page (now called "portal"?) that when you get to the end and hit "more", it now simply takes you to an advertisement instead of loading the next page.
Is this a glitch?
Now you have to go to "all cobra talk" to get to the rest of the pages.

What the heck is the TAGS box directly below the last post in every thread?

Brent...Steve (VRM) is again asking/whining about a car model/collectibles forum. Please throw him a bone so he'll stop humping my leg.

I'll bet the line isn't that long. Too many people around here have seen more than your leg!

Twice today I've tried to sign into clubcobra and got this -
Warning: require_once(F:\Inetpub\wwwroot\clubcobra/includes/block/.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in F:\Inetpub\wwwroot\clubcobra\includes\block_functi ons.php on line 49
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'F:\Inetpub\wwwroot\clubcobra/includes/block/.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in F:\Inetpub\wwwroot\clubcobra\includes\block_functi ons.php on line 49
Is it my computer or something to do with the upgrades?
Bob

You shouldn't see that again. I was futzing with things at that time. That will teach me.

Brent
1) What is the TAGS box at the end of every thread?
2) I tried out the Pictures & Albums section of the Networking area in my User CP. It mentions 60 pictures. Is that 60 pictures total, no matter how many albums are created?
Does this have any impact of our picture gallery size limit?
Why have 2 places to post Albums/Pictures with no link between the 2 areas. Just a little confusing.
Kepp up the good work.

For number one...I'm still trying to figure out how best to utilize that. I guess you can add key words etc and then it may be easier to find those threads later or linking, etc.
For number two...it's 60 images per album. As for the two areas and being confusing...I am trying to think that through. This is the problem with software that interacts with each other. Enhancements in one sometimes start filtering into the other and then tough decisions need to be made. Still thinking it through.

Tags and a Tag Cloud are hip new visuals for websites.
Users can "tag" a thread with their own key words or phrases that, to them, describe the thread...a little more loosey-goosey than Key Search terms.
When you look at the tags at the bottom of a thread, there is a link name Tags above the box.
It takes you here:
http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/tags/
Which is the Tag Cloud for Club Cobra.
A Tag Cloud is like a graffiti-wall, with all the tags on it that have been created...the more frequent ones appear bigger than the lesser used tags...
...the net result is to let you find like-minded threads that have been similarly tagged.
Cool? ...yes Useful? ... TBD.

Ron is so hip with it. Sometimes I think I'm getting too old for this computer stuff.
