Hi,
I know these threads are old. I haven't had much like in finding these anywhere. Anyone know the best place to locate these fender SPATS?

I was not happy with the ones you can buy, so I just made them out of leather and my wife sewed the edges. I lightly glued them on so I can replace them someday. Low cost and easy.

I ordered a 2'x5' sheet of carbon fiber look sheeting off of ebay for $17. Measured it out and put them on with the help of a heat gun. Fairly easy and look good. Had to trim a bit due to stretch using the heat gun.

Kinda hard to see. Put it on top of the doors, also.

I know some folks have used Plasti Dip, but my fenders have a few chips that I think will show through Plasti Dip, so I'm looking for something that's perhaps a bit thicker, with a bit more hiding power. Anybody use undercoating spray or liquid? Something like this: Kleen-Flo | Products - Tumbler Paintable Rubberized Undercoating

You can always use body filler in the small holes, sand and apply what you want.

Very hard to see the shield, even on my titanium Cobra.
Can you see the shield on the front end or the leading edges of the rear flare?
I would recommend it to anyone.

They will do clear bra here for $50 bucks a side.

I'm in the process of another rebuild on my Unique. It's an older body style so it has the street roadster style rear flares and once again I'm contemplating ditching the roll bar and sidepipes. This thread rekindled my interest in sourcing the polished aluminum spats and it seems the only place they are available is at Europa Spares in jolly olde Blighty. A search of their site revealed these:

I've posted this before.
I used to manufacture clear bras and have plenty of old stock. I'm not interested in doing a 3M front bra, but anyone in the Atlanta area can get spats or other small areas done here for the price of gas and some beer to drink while WE do it. What I won't do is let you drop off the car for me to work on, that costs $$. This is for clear only. I don't do the CF. You can use my wheel if you want to give aluminum ones a try.
