Default Update

Hello, we are prepping the alum body for installation, it has several small cracks because it has not been attached to a framework to stop flexing.
I found a local metal man that has a lot of experience with aluminum, he stopped by last week and he welded up and finished off all of the cracks. Next we need to mount both halfs of the body and cut to fit at the rocker panel and weld the two halfs together. Then we can fit the 4 moving panels.
later, karl

Great workmanship. I can't wait to see the body done up and mounted. My hat's off to you.

Default Photo Update

Thanks for the kind words, I am very anxious to get the body mounted too. The metal man is very busy and can not spend a lot of time on the cobra right now. I have to wait for him to get a few spare hours.

Here is a photo of the first test fit of the body.

Default Fuel filler port

Here is a photo of the filler port that Nick at Acton Custom installed for me. An excellent job. Thanks to Nick for that help.

Default new seat

hello, the new kirkey vintage race seat is installed, I purchased the seat from summit racing, we welded on alum brackets & then had a local auto trim shop make a seat cover to look like an original cobra. It has ports for the seat belts & the seat cushion flips up for easy acces to the mounting bolts.
later, karl
