Transporter recommendations
Appreciate any recommendation for transporters you have used to pick up and deliver cross country.
How they take care of vehicle, cost, insurance and on time performance are the main criteria.
Thanks,

These are by far the best three in the industry, have the most transporters on the road, with the best operators. Just my personal opinion based on the 200+ vehicles I've moved or assisted in moving in the last 20 years.

Intercity lines. I've used them twice and they were great both times.

Chas,
I've used Reliable Carriers about four/five times through the years. Fair pricing and really take care of your car.
They have multiple depots through out the states. http://www.reliable-carriers.com/mobile/index.htm

Ditto here. I used Intercity to ship my Cobra twice. Great service and excellent vehicle care. On the way back the Cobra's roommate was a vintage concourse class Mercedes 300SL gullwing on the way to a show.

I have used 3 times=Excellent. Don't have any personal experience with other companies, no reason to change.

I had my roller delivered via FedEx Custom Critical....absolutely the best. Had the Cobra loaded in with some Barrett Jackson cars, did a great job and I knew where the car was 24/7.

I've heard others have excellent experiences with FedEx shipping. They tend to be at the high end of the range for short and medium distances but at the low end for very long distances. They were in the hunt (within $100) for my shipments but had never used them. My Cobra was delivered by InterCity so I've stuck with them (plus they are headquartered a couple of miles from where I used to live).

I used Intercity last Jan to move my GT 40. Great people to do business with. Best price, picked up on time and delivered to me, on time
