Paul Harvey, RIP
I saw tonight that Paul Harvey, a radio commentator from since forever, passed away.
He was my favorite. Studs Turkel was tied for first.

Good Day
I loved listening to Paul Harvey. He was so calm and just talked us through the events that were going on and he just made it all better. Page 2. He was a great communicator and one of those radio icons that will be missed. And that was the rest of the story.

I was saddened to hear Paul Harvey passed away. He was a native son of Tulsa, and I was always proud to hear his voice on national radio these many years. What a great communicator. He could even make you happy about listening to commercials. Page 2!

Just a quick note about Paul Harvey and The Rest of the Story. His son Paul jr. was writing them for his father for many years. Paul jr. has been doing those stories for his father for quite a few years now. Paul senior was a conservative icon that led the way for many of todays successful radio personalities. He will be missed!!

Darn, can't think of a time we need him more than now. He had a truly unique style, made his contemporaries (Rush, Savage, ect.) sound like "shock jocks".
Like losing that favorite uncle...
Thank you Mr. Harvey for being that voice we so often needed to hear.

Damn...lost another good one, a true gentleman. He was the Readers Digest of radio.
Thanks Paul for all those stories.
You will be missed...

My all time favorite radio reporter. As others have stated, we could sure use a lot more like him today. Rest In Peace, You have earned it.

Paul Jr. is still active in radio and I think he had been doing the "Rest of the Story" spots for a while.
I had the honor of meeting him in 1973 or so. I recorded his address bur it's on a 1/4" audio tape that is way out of date.
