Default LA Exotics

Hello, New to the site and not a Cobra owner yet . Still searching for the ONE. Anyone have info about LA Exotics. Do they have a good reputation. I know they are no longer around. When did they quit building? I have seen pictures of a few and it looks like the starboard side headlight sits a little higher than than the port. What's up with that? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully my next post will have photos of my new ride.

B&B Manufacturing was the original LA Exotics. When they moved from California to Missouri they changed their name as well as some of their molds (although I can't address the issue of headlights you mentioned). Since the original LA Exotics was produced B&B has gone thru several upgrades and re-designs. I think you will find that B&B is an excellent built car and they offer a lot of value for your investment.

If you have questions give Bryan Anderson a call at 417-472-3547. I am sure he can address any questions you may have.

I know nothing about the car.

But my records show that LA Exotics was purchased by NW Exotics which is now Rose City Specialty Cars in Troutdale OR 503-667-0427

Give them a call. If any of the above is wrong, let me know.

this is Bryan Anderson from B&B manufacturing, I started L.A. exotics back in the late 70's and sold the company in 1995 it was not sold to NW exotics it was sold to a guy by the name of chun tam, he failed to pay me and many other vendors so i was forced to take legal action and I shut him down, I then started up B&b manufacturing here in Missouri you can see may of the L.A exotics cars On my website at www.bandbroadster.com they are in looks the same car what we did do was stop using any of the junk yard parts that was very common in those days and have gone to all new tubular front ends and tubular rear trailing arms all adjustable coil over shocks we run nothing but the 9" rear and got away from the small 8.8 rear ends. I hope this will help a little.

I have #85, purchased in '95. The frame and glass are rock solid. I still have the bare red gel coat with no paint. People told me it would crack and micro-fracture in 2 years. It still looks like it did the day I picked it up.

It's a bit heavier than most, but if your using it on the street, the extra metal and glass are a good thing.

I purchased a used LA Exotics 2 years ago. It has been a great ride, with no problems at all. I added rear disc brakes and upgraded the power from a 302 to a 408 Windsor stroker. The results yielded a solid, awesome looking black rocket. Could not be happier!
