Didn't CA. want to crush all cars older than twenty years? Another unenforceable law.

Sorry-my post was harsh.

If they change the proposal slightly this can work:

You can own a black car only if you drive with the AC off-or-AT NIGHT!

The place where actors can rule the state...

I should talk, we've got a blind guy who's also dumb.

Do you mean to imply that Patterson is not a rocket scientist?

There is something in the water in Albany that makes normal people lose all sight of common sense when they get elected there......

At least the water doesn't have a negative effect on their extra-marital sex lives.

Default Black paint

So how many Cobras use AC? In the winter, when the sun is out, BLACK works well to heat autos.

What about Cop cars? Most depts. are returning to the classic "Black & whites" as their "forays" into alternate" colors has failed.

Yea, but look at the bright side. No more BLACK Helicopters. Agents must dress in white.

Hey, Black is beautiful, no matter what color you might want to call it.

How about calling it Calif-nuancepitch SR, (SR Solar Reflective). Some kind of paint that you mix with reclaimed water from your toilet and applied to the surface with recycled baby diapers by an x CEO or politician.

I'm glad I live in the "wild West"!

I have had three two tone cars. A black with white top 1961 Galaxie, a 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 with two tone blue, light top, and a 1965 red with white top Galaxie 500XL. None had air conditioners. I like driving with the window down and it makes no sense to have air and the window down. And after setting in the 115+ heat in our parking lots all day I couldn't tell the white tops were any cooler than the solid dark color cars I have had.

Now as for the tools in the trunk that is a very serious matter and one that CARB should spend at least a few million doing a study on. I have always kept my tires aired up to prevent unnecessary wear and I do have a non factory tool kit in the trunk. And don't forget the weight that a jack and spare tire adds.

So maybe this is an opportunity for the Kirkhams. Maybe they'd mandate a highly reflective surface on cars to keep them "cool"! Of course to satisfy the California emissions laws they'd need to "stuff" in a Briggs and Stratton engine...

Even those have to have the California Certified sticker on them. My new Troy Bilt weed eater has it. There was even some talk about making 2 cycle motors illegal as they smoke to much but I guess there are so many chain saws and other type of lawn & garden equipment already in use that they figured it would not be feasible to do that. Kind of like a few years back when the made back yard barbecuing up here illegal. They dropped that as people in this are are just to far apart and it was impossible for them to actually enforce it.
