Which fan temp. setting to use?
I'm going to order a replacement 16" puller fan for my WC cobra, I like the SPAL 30102803OH model. The thermal trigger for fan on/off can be purchased to work at 185 or 195 degrees. My engine runs nicely at 180-190 at any speed over 30 MPH, heats up in traffic, so I'm going for increased CFM. I'm concerned that if I use the 185 setting the fan might be on all the time. Any problem with using the 195 setting? Mine is btw 533 BB Ford which can really generate heat and the WC engine compartment has unfortunately lower than ideal air exit characteristics, plus it gets over 100 here often in the summer.
Thanks!
Dirk
