Jeff Miller in Temecula has a great reputation for painting cobras. I know he's not in Riverside but he would be worth the drive.

elvet,
If there is anything you need to know about your LA Exotic give Bryan Anderson a call at B&B (he is the former owner of LA Exotics now B&B) at 417-472-3547. He may be able to tell you of a painter in the Riverside area (my old stomping grounds). Bryan and Barry move LA Exotics to the Joplin, MO. area about 11 years ago from LA. Less restrictions and much friendlier business environment in Missouri I am told.
Good Luck with your new toy.

Second Jeff Miller in Temecula. I called him last month and he is down to only a few cars per month now.
Good time to get it done quickly and save some money too. He quoted me a complete repaint on my roadster including removing and replacing the body for around $5000.

Elvet I will third the vote for Jeff Miller, have seen many many Cobras painted by him and they all look fabulous.
Big Oil it will depend on what motor you want... If you are looking for an FE there isn't much in San Diego.

I'm new to Cobra's so probably some sort of small block/351W. Out of curiosity, does FE Specialties in Sacramento have a good reputation?

A 4th for Jeff. Stunning work. I haven't discounted ordering mine unpainted so the body can be sent to him for his magic. That's sent from La - and that's the state not the city.

Big Oil, I haven't heard of any in SD.
Keith Craft, Rousch, Levy Racing, Engine Factory all produce excellent engines. And they are tried and tested over and over again.
Solid reputations and good warranties.

Thanks Jim. But if I buy an engine from one of those fine companies is there anyone in/near SD that install/tune it?

Yeah, I've got a guy in Carlsbad that can do anything and works wonders on tuning carbed engines. Let me know if you need a referral.

My FE was built by FE Specialities. I only have 800 miles on my FE, but so far so good. Also, I believe Duane (decooney) had his engine built by Tom Lucas (FE Specialities) too. There's also one other gentlemen who has since sold his CSX and no longer posts here. Tom has a smaller shop compared to the likes of KC, but I haven't heard of any bad news to date.
