45th Mustang bash @ Barber Motor Sports Park
Anyone going to the 45th Mustang bash at Barber MotorSports Park in Alabama this coming weekend?????????
I'll be there with about 10 other couples/cars...........
Come by and say hello........
Look for a red 65 Mustang coupe #47 on the doors and a red 65 Fastback # 52,should also have a white 07 Roush Mustang with us....we'll be in the racer paddock from thursday on........

We shouldn't be hard to find, our group generally looks like the Beverly Hillbillies camped out..   .. 4 or 5 canopies together, 4 or 5 cars, and at least one BBQ pit going. follow your nose.........
we usually have an Amercian flag on a pole tied to one of our trailers also...................

As an aside... SAAC member Mike Herman is driving his restored '68 GT500KR conv from San Diego to Birmingham as part of the Mustangs Across America event. They end up at the MCA show, David.

There will also be a Cobra R race during that event. I will be at the big Ford show at Knott's Berry Farm though, and can't make it with mine.

I'm registered also for the MAA drive,#69, my third MAA drive, but as luck would have it, I won't be able to do the drive this time...Plans were for me to meet up with them in Louisiana and drive the last leg in my 65 Fastback and my brother-in-law was going to drive my truck/race car to Barber...Plans changed for him and he had to back out and now I have 2 cars and one driver (me), so I'm taking the race car..........

yep, know a fellow from Florida that's gonna race that event in his 95 R,a few of us are gonna give him a hand and be his "crew"......
There was talk at one time about a "Vintage Race", but it never came to be.........

Dat was never a problem, plenty of volunteers for that one, but, I wanted to do the drive myself and still get the race car there.....The little wifey didn't want to haul it 7 hours by herself, dat gum wimmins, you can't count on them for nothing!!!!!!!!!!
I hear they gots a big Aussie crew doing the drive..........

ohh all right .... I guess the view from the truck wouldn't be that bad  ...... it's a diesel right ? would pay to get that part right at the pump...

Yep, it's diesel alright.........
Lets see, your about 2 hours form me, and we plann to leave home at 6:00am wednesday morning, you do the math on that one!!!!!!
Then 7 hours to the track, they are gonna let the track cars in from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm to unload and get thru tech, so we need to be there early to set up camp and go thru tech......
Now for the $64,000 question???????? Can I trust you with my wife and 23 year old daughter for the ride there???????
