If you are interested in seeing an SPF street car. Take a peek. There are a bunch of great cars available. Just depends on how long you can wait and how much work you want to do yourself.

Do not forget the importance of resale value, as well as how easy it is to resell.

I know some people keep their cars forever while others of us tend to only keep them for a short while. I kept my ERA for about 4 years and was very pleased with how much I sold it for as well as how easy it was to sell.

Dan...you can ask them to omit things like the hood scoop roll bar side vents and other items and dress the kit the way you want and most of the time they are willing to work with you. When i ordered my Midstates it was no problem getting what i wanted for my build but i dont think a street car should cost more than a S/C.

Just a thought regarding hoodscoops.........They get you extra clearance for the air filter, etc and help let heat out of the engine bay when you turn the car off. The cars look great either way though.

My 390 with edelbrock intake and carb fit under my "flat hood" with room for a 3'' air filte on top and no rub marks on the bottom of the hood at all (my body man would kill me if it rubbed ).

This fits under the hood of mine with no scoop or heat issues what so ever. No muss no fuss...

I haven't really thought about SPF. I guess I thought they were mostly assembled rollers or turn-key cars rather than kits. I'll look at their website.

No doubt about it Pat. The street cars are only loved by a select few and resale is difficult at best.

Mike, you street cobra is maaavalous! That color is something to behold.

Why thank you Frank, and as I've said before, your car is the one mine wants to be when it grows up.

Thanks to you too Dan. You'll love having a street car. Sure it may be harder to sell and yes, your head may get ground off onto the pavement when you eventually flip it...But it's worth it to watch the gears turn as people try to figure out what kind of MG, Porsche, Triumph or Jaguar it is.

Personally, I like both models (S/C and street) and even with a hood scoop, rollbar and sidepipes, people still think it's an Alfa Romeo, Corvette, Dodge Viper, etc.

Frank and Dan both have fantastic looking vehicles. Great jobs.

Undercar exhaust.
Removable hardtop.
Hood scoop.
Full width roll bar.

I have a Unique FIA car, not street. It was assembled back in '94 and is really a nice riding and handling car, even after being "aged". The unique body is well made and has no stress cracks or other signs of weakness, still looks great! Can't talk much about under car exhaust or no hood scoop. The FIA car does have a low exhaust clearance in common with the undercar exhaust system. I scraped a few times until I got religion and Jet Hot coating on my pipes. I am pretty careful about what I don't run over, and really don't have any problems.....but I am always aware.
