Cobra specific tools?
...am finalizing the purchase of my Cobra
Occurs to me that if I am to wrench on this beast (baby steps, I'll start with just tightening loose nuts & bolts first) I may need some cobra specific tools.
I have a good collection started with the standard / metric ratchet set, screwdrivers, wrenches etc...
New tools on my list include:
-Safetywire pliers
-Torque wrench(s)
-Deep well sockets
-?
Suggestions?
Also, how would I get under this thing without yet investing in a lift (thats down the road a bit).
Thanks guys!

LS,
- Lead hammer
- Low profile jack
- I decided to buy some new jackstands from Summit with nice Poly-pads
- Finishline has a great (fairly inexpensive) canvas bag with a Cobra Logo which is perfect for the trunk (keep cleaning stuff, tire plug kit, hammer, etc.).
- Low profile scissor jack for the trunk
- Combination of metric and SAE tools
- Get one of those big stainless tool boxes that Costco sell. My wife said "whadya gonna open up a repair shop."
Also, do a search on CC. There's been some good threads on what people carry in their trunk.
Have fun. $$$$$

If you have coilovers you might want a couple of spanner wrenches.

Got the "Big stainless toolbox" from Costco. I'm gonna look into the jackstands and the other stuff on your list. Good stuff!

Make sure to try the scissor jack before you need it. I bought a piece-O-sh$t one from Kragens and I couldn't even get one corner of a 2700lb car off the ground!!

You have to put the jack under the corner you want to lift.

AAA flatbed service a must!! I carry some basic tools, but with the car so low and engine area so tight and hot, not much you can do on the side of the road. A big can of tire fix it and a tire repair kit.
