Default First Ride in my New SPF In Mass!

After Procrastinating on getting it insured and registered because of some of the horror stories i have heard of i finally gave it a try and everything went right threw and registered it as a 1965 SPF Cobra. If anyone is having a problem with this let me know.
The car drives and runs awesome!!! I love it. I have had mustangs a Shelby's before but nothing like this. The power to weight is wicked. I am going to go thru the car tonight and check all the nuts and bolts. Any recommendations on things to look for?

Check to see that the ball joints are all lubed......that the emergency brake cable is secure....that the shock bolts are tight ....that the header bolts are tight (after heat cycle)....that the transmission bolts are tight...that the brakes are up to snuff on a hard stop....if the oil temp was over 110 C if the cooler is hooked up....that the pins are torqued to 80 lbs and are not split.. Did you have the dreaded 65mph shake ???

There was a thread not too long ago about front caliper bolts coming loose. Either the bolts were too short or inadequately Locktited. Couldn't hurt to look.

Default I can't see very well..

and when I can I don't know what the hell I am looking at...given the remarkable performance of these things it seemed to me to be prudent to have a professional check every critical item...the local Roush dealer charged me about $400 to check it out....unlike a production car like a vette...at least my car..... had some teething problems....it is annoying, but the cars are so damn much fun to drive that it is worth it....I think it was Old Shel that observed that " these things can kill you in a second "....

If you don't have chassis issues to fix, a lot of cars, wither a cobra or your daily driver, can have "Harmonic" shake. Cadillac has a special booth to test their cars and will add weights to the frame to counter act these vibrations.

Many Cobra repilca's get a wheel vibration around 45-50 then it disapears. Have had my wheels balanced dinamically and even then had a little vibration. I figured out its the spinners that cause it. If i take them off its better, but it looks funny with out them.joeg

And the wheels tend to fall off.
