Not to take anything away from the effort to machine the adapters (which are very good quality), but there's a lot more work involved in making complete hubs.

Think of it this way... for the front hub, we machine a 45 pound slug of high-strength alloy to 8.5 pounds, with tolerances down to 0.0002" on some critical areas. A lot of machining of very hard material. The rear is similar except we also have to broach the internal spline. Unfortunately, at our volumes, it's an expensive undertaking.

Yes they are - but they are 6-pin, pin drive hubs. My question was concerning the 5-pin adaptors & knock offs which just bolt on to the stock hubs (or at least that is what I'm use to with my Corvette).

That's because we are trying to politely encourage you to buy the best, and not to compromise. To a lot of us, that one extra pin is what separates the wheat from the chaff.... We'll quit bugging you now, though.
