Default Forgetfull ol' farts and toggle switches

I ran across these and couldn't resist ordering a set. Every year, in the spring, there's at least 1 or 2 toggle switches that I can't remember what they did/do..

Not a bad idea after i had just waxed my car and hit the windsheild washer toggle instead of the headlight.

I was gonna use clear P-touch labels with white lettering but these look pretty good. Thanks.

Default C'mon!

Jeez guys, it's only three, or four at the most, switches. If you can't remember them then that's pretty sad....

+1. Also on my car the fuel switch is under the fuel pressure gauge and the fan is under the temp gauge. And if you don't drive at night or through any moisture, then who cares about the light switch and wipers.

LOL

How often do you use your wipers? Your heater? I haven't hit the right switch when I've needed one of those in 5 years!

I reached for the lights and loved it when I hit the fuel pump switch...

Those are nice. My worst problem was remembering which was the fuel pump switch and the car would run about 1/2 block with the pump off before stopping. It is embarrassing to be sitting there trying to get it to start and having people stop and tell you what a great ride you have. I finally marked mine with a very small tab that had ON on one end and OFF on the other.

I kinda like the idea of my dash switches be unlabeled - it adds a tiny bit of security: if some would-be theif got her started but couldn't get far due to not knowing which switch was the fuel pump (assuming I had an electric fuel pump on a dash switch).

For those of us with mechanical fuel pumps, we could just label a dashboard switch as "Fuel Pump" and have it ground out the ignition when switched "On."

Back in the 60's, the switches were probably labelled with one of those "DYMO" embossed tape machines, where you turned the wheel to imprint the label.

I still have mine from when I was a kid. I even have some of the tapes as well!
