csingletary, I put a old style expansion tank on my 351W. Had a shop do some modification to it so there would be no issue with hood clearance. Take a look at my pics. I can't remember who I bought it from, but it wasn't cheap. Made a big difference in how the engine looks. I'll look for my supplier of the tank and send you a message. But they are available.

Default Check SuperHart

There is a fellow on this forum called SuperHart and he makes the expansion tank for a small block.I am very pleased with the workmanship and the way he looked after my order. You can find a pic in my gallery.
Cheers Greg

Kirkham recently introduced a nice one for SBF. I have one made by Superformance that is very nice, but a bit of a pain to install. The Kirkham tank would be much easier to install.

Thumbs up

I've seen the new Kirkham Expansion Tank installed on 3-4 different cars and there are pretty nice!

You can call and talk to Dave or Tom for more information.

If you have a Classic Roadsters 427 S/C with a 351 W be cautious.
Mine installed without problems and looked great, but then I couldn't close the hood. It is a bit too high for mine. I tried using the Kirkham billet
surge tank, which is a work of art, like everything else they make.
