Another great purchase from Acton Custom
Club friends
I purchased a small part from Acton Custom while at the New Hampshire Vintage festival yesterday. Aluminum carb return spring bracket. Not a big item however easy to install and it looks good to. They come either raw, my choice, or powder coated. Fits on Ford type intakes.
He is also making many replica parts not listed on his page yet. Nick is a friend and yes this is a plug. It is nice to know where to find hard to find items at great prices with a smile! If you don't see it ask!
SHhhh.... Rumor has it he is planning to make OEM door hinge covers out of aluminum in Powder coat black finish or polished.....polished for the KMS crowd.
Thanks Nick!

Nick is great
I'll throw a plug in here too. I have never met Nick but he and I have been exchanging emails these past 4 months as I have been deciding what "authentic" touches I might want to add to my car. No doubt he is a superb craftsman, as is evidenced by the stellar job he did on the original style aluminum wire ties/straps I bought from him. But he also knows and loves Cobras and is very interested in whatever you are building. I think he's an asset to our sport/hobby. Five stars from me.

I'll add a plug for Nick too. I bought a rear breather cover plate w/pcv recently for my FE intake. I'm very pleased with the quality. Fast shipping and email replys. Thanks Nick!

One more testamonial:
I had Nick build a gas tank for my B&B to replace the standard poly unit. The fit and finish were exceptional. The engineering work he put into it to ensure optimum fuel pickup and reduced slosh was outstanding. He even took the time to make sure that the fuel inlet and air breather tube were as direct as possible to maximize trunk space.
You would be hard pressed to find anyone else with the attention to detail and breadth of Cobra knowledge that Nick has.
Mike

Iīll throw my two cents in as well. I have purchased so many parts from Nick for my `project that I canīt even begin to recall them all now. Custom Comp gas tank, exact replica floor mounted pedal box, custom made frame engine mounts, custom removable top turkey pan (this is a must see, by the way), I could go on and on. Nick is a first class crafstman, and even more important a first class guy. To say that heīs a pleasure to deal with is an understatement. You just canīt go wrong with NIck. And yes, in the interest of full disclosure, I also consider him a friend as well.

Kevin,
You would have to call him as I don't know. I do see has listed ally hood for sale. I heard next he will be offering ally doors for replica builds and original restorations as well.
He is working on a set of doors for me now, I plan to paint outside and leavve the inside raw Scotchbright finish.

Thanks much guys. I really appreciate being able to do what I love and help you guys along with your projects at the same time.
Kevin the tanks are made in aluminum or stainless and depending on size and complexity they can vary in price from $600 for a basic aluminum to $1800 for the big 42 gallon comp tank.
The body panels as you said really do have to be fit to the car or made to a well fitted panel from the car. I can also supply parts for them that can be fitted by you or someone locally if that helps.
I can be talked into loading up and going to someones car but I work more effectively for your dollar at my own shop.
John you're already signed up for one of everything aren't you?
Doug I pm'd you and will call manyana.
Jeff thanks as always for the shot of inspiration.
Mike, stop playing with hard tops and get ready for the wet test!
Frank is that "Automobile Addicts Anonymous"??
What a great bunch of guys and cars!

Nick Acton
I am having extensive modifications done to my Contemporary and love the work done so far by Nick. Modifications so far are:
-change 10 gallon gas tank to aluminum 24.7 gallon tank with inductive tube readings
-new roll bars actually mounted to the frame with something other than sheetmetal screws
-replace finger tight Nylock bolts holding in the axles
-replace finger tight Nylock bolts holding the Jag rear to the frame
-rebuilt the interior to allow for 6" more at the knee and 2" in the foot box
-install new dashboard with bracing and new guages.
-install driveshft loop
-relocate header so the glass won't catch on fire...again
-replace 1.25" muffler with 3.75" Cobra Pack mufflers
Great work.
thanks Nick for bearing with me.
David A.
