Help me with a 4 post Lift sizing
I have measured my garage and came up with the following measurements.
Ceiling = 9'6"
Width = 20'
Length = 15'
I have looked at various lifts and have decided I would prefer a 4 post lift. I have been looking at the Dannmar 4 post lift.
Those of you with lifts do you have measurments simular or smaller compared to mine. I would hate to purchase this and then endup regreting because of space limitation

Hey Phil,
Just sent you an email on the other subject. How's this for a tight fit? Costco lift from Dannmar and when the lift is all the way down, I can easily open all the closets on the right.
Plenty of room to work, and since I moved the overhead garage door opener to the side (Liftmaster 3500), I can raise it all the way up and park my wife's car under it.....or stand under it. I measured carefully and I don't think anything any bigger would have fit.

Hey Tom,
Thanks for the pick. I responded to you email .. give me a call to chat about the subject.
I am wanting to make sure I have enough clearance for the lift, then I will hint to the wife here is is my fathers day gift and see if she goes for it
How tall are your ceilings?

Phil,
Garage ceiling height = 9'-4". Just tell your wife to visit Costco.com and go for it. Or you can order it yourself and let her know you appreciate her a lot and that she doesn't have to worry about shopping around for you. Thanks again for the Weber tips.

Looks great! Your garage was custom made for that lift. Next time I buy a house, I'm going to focus more on the size/dimensions of the garage.

I have the Danmar 7X from Costco. I thought bigger was better when I saw
the larger model and ordered it. Boy did I luck out - lengthwise it made it by
2" and the width worked fine (2 car garage). 10'-6" ceiling so no problem
there. I would highly recommend measuring your floor dimensions first!
I lucked out, barely. I may get the standard sized one for the other single
garage for stacking but don't need it now. I also put new side mount
openers on which cleared the ceiling. The lift works great - no complaints.
