If it's a B&B Mfg. cobra, you can call Bryan or Laurie at B&B Mfg. or email bryan@bandbroadster.com and give them the ID number. They will have a list of numbers from when they make a cobra with the original owners name and address. If you have the car or know where the car is . The ID number is under the hood looking down the engine compartment on top of the frame.
Should be 17 digit.

Cool Will the real CSX4032 please stand up?

So?

If CSX 4032 was for sale on Ebay and the car in the pictures obviously isn't CSX4032 then where does the latest SAAC book say the car is, and what is its description? I think it is different than all of the above?

Just curious?

There is no way that the red car is CSX 4032.

The car on eBay does appear to be CSX 4032. Although current CSX 4000/6000 cars would not be sold like the car on eBay. They would be painted and assembled more, like having the lights and windshield installed, etc. It is certainly possible that an early CSX 4000 could have been delivered in the state shown.

I would not want to copy the information directly out of the registry and post it here as it is copyrighted, but I did look at the information on CSX 4032 a hour or so ago and had sufficient time to forget some of it and probably get it wrong...

CSX 4032 does not specify color, engine or transmission. And the car on eBay does not seen to have any of those features chosen yet either.

Question

I looked at the SAAC book yesterday on CSX4032 and it says it was finished in 1997, so the unfinished car that was for sale on Ebay shouldn't be CSX4032either, weird?

Will the real CSX4032 please stand up!

It is a B&B besides the no lip fender the 4" band around the inside of the engine compartment, hood hinges and the slots for the hood latch is a dead give-a-way. Plus I recognize Bryans console! SN on the frame (pass side by frt A-Arm) should start out something like this:

BB427001234xx

Cool

Next time we see this car it will be nice to know where to look on the frame for the #, thank you for the info.

Now the question is where is the finished CSX4032, and what is the correct ID for the unfinished car that was for sale on ebay claiming also to be CSX4032?

Still wondering?

Early CSX cars were apparently finished differently than today. I don't think they were exactly "rollers" when they were sent off to a Shelby dealer. It is quite likely that the eBay car is the "finished" as shipped from Vegas CSX4032. Like I said earlier, the registry does not have a color for the car, an unpainted car would certainly be an explanation of that. The eBay car does have the correct style frame to be a CSX car. Plus it has a picture of the Shelby MSO, which if you look closely has a date on it...
