Hey,
What a great car !!!
Please think twice before restoring this car. Even with the damage
it is an amazing example of an original car.
Like they say, "a car is only original once."
Remember the lost/Spector's blue coupe ???
Just give it a good bath and general detailing.
Best,
BC

WOW! What a find! DO NOT restore that car, clean it up, get it running, leave all the history intact. Better yet , drag it over to the SAAC convention at BeaveRun, it would be the hit of the show.

According to the SAAC World Registry, it was sold originally as a street car, but was subsequently converted to a configuration close to the Stage IV Dragonsnake package.

Check out the ignition coil on the firewall. Is that an old Mallory piece.

Leave it original, scratches and all, like someone else pointed out they are original only once. My old GT350 looks tired but it's original and people appreciate it more that way. Great little Cobra, bring it out and let people see that piece of history.

Please... restore it as little as possible. (or not at all!)
And update us as you go.
Check with SAAC for more info about the car.

Were trying to see if there is any race history on the car, or any other information or pictures anyone can provide would be great. As you see the car was wrecked in its last race in the 60's. We are getting ready to restore the car and are just looking for information on it. The odometer still shows 640 miles. Thanks for any help.

The car wasn't wreaked in a race. It was wreaked after 1974 on a frontage road in front of Salt Walther's lot.

I'll bet it's hard to stop a Cobra without front brakes on the street.

Have more pictures of the car? I would love to see the interior, and more exterior shots too.

Here is a picture of the Spector coupe that is now owned by
the Simeone Foundation.
Here's the link to Jay talking about it and driving it.
All they did was clean it up a bit and fix the mechanicals.
