Even still, the only way any of us would sleep with them is if we'd broken into the wax museum after hours.

Well Ned, QUIT driving that land yacht!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: there's a really nice Edsel in my neck of the woods for sale, interested???????????
There's another simple solution to your problem: anytime anyone in a Cobra snubs ya, just back the Edsel wagon into the side of the car,say 30 mph. Can you imagine the damage the rear bumper would do to a Cobra, glass or aluminum!!!!!!!!! ........They would NEVER snub you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: I like Edsels............if I had ANY extra money laying around (thanks OB) I would've bought the one down here already.....

Russ:
I know the guy (Charlie) with "The Worlds Fastest Edsel", he's from the New Orleans area and goes to a lot of Ford/Shelby events with his car, super nice guy.....
Last time I saw the car in action it had a 460 cu.in. engine in it.....I think he was running the quarter mile in the very low 11's....very heavy car, full interior....

What's more impressive is how the guy with the fat ass was able to back out of that window while holding a chair.

Never felt snubbed, however there are certainly an unusual behaviour that I may exhibit when I'm out with my car. I don't entertain any questions around the price of my car.
Some may consider that as being a snub, but I don't like being asked what I pay for the car.......

"I really don't know, it's my Mom's car."
If you are over 60, the look on their faces is a thing to behold.

It is good to see I am part of a group of people that think along the same lines as I when it comes to my Cobra.
Who would spend hours rubbing down those fine lines and washing the crud under the car after driving on some of the sh!ttiest roads in Michigan. Only someone that loves their Cobra.
I get out on Woodward ( not at the bream cruise ) and there are nuts in 7 second cars wanting to "try the Cobra". I usually say, "I don't need to...flat out, mine looks better...but you go ahead."
I think Bill S said it best in the opening of his post on page 1.

Part of it is your own attitude and how you perceive things. The other day I was out driving my Pantera and a nice Cobra passed me in the other lane. He didn't look over, give a thumbs up or anything. Figured it was just some old fart who bought himself a toy and didn't know much about Fords/Shelbys etc. For all I know he could have been a very knowledgeable guy and was just enjoying his drive, and my expectation that he should acknowledge me since I didn't see him first is my own problem
As far as car shows, it's easy to be the expert in your own car, but to show a little humility and curiosity about someone elses can go a long way socially. Even if I know something about someones car already I may ask about it to break the ice with the owner and let them share something they have taken pride in. If someone is just a plain prick and uses their car purely for attention and a slap on the back, chances are I will have nothing to say to them. But you always have to give people a chance before labeling them, especially if you come in as the outsider and they all know each other through the club etc.

Lebeter,
"Part of it is your own attitude and how you perceive things. "
May I say that is the major part. Thanks for your input.
