Unhappy I have a wiring question please can you help?

I have a carbed 302 and installing a MSD 6AL box with my EZwiring 12 circuits harness. My problem is that i have a purple(tachometer)wire in the engine bay which i'm suppose to connect to my distributor (i've been told) but my distributor is a Motorcraft with a 3 wire connector plug. On my MSD instruction it shows that i have to buy a special MSD connector to fit between the MSD box and the distributor so it won't leave me a place to install my purple(tach) wire.
The 3 wires coming from the distributor connector are color coded as:
1 black wire
1 purple-black
1 red-black
Any help would be appreciated,thanks

Michel

Default Sorry I don't

Michel I had difficulty just getting my MSD setup to work, let alone troubleshooting that one, but hey, there are a lot of knowledgable and helpful people here on the forum I'm sure you'll have an answer soon!

Regards,

Dirk

purple wire goes into the side of the msd, should be a blade connector, opposite side of the power wires and next to the crank trigger green/purple wire.
