Injection stacks - covers/caps
Hi all,
Not the right area to ask engine questions - but..
Does anyone know where you get those red caps that go on injection stacks to keep dust and rubbish out when at the race track or stored...
I do not want to keep using tennis balls to keep rubbish out - I keep loosing them..
I have trawled through a few sites and asked the question in the right areas of forums but...
Any lead or link would be appreciated..
Bernie

with the loosing the balls......when i was involved with a hiborn injected engine a friend had we ran a wire thru the balls so they stayed together as a unit. we got tired of chasing our balls around the pits. this all sounds a bit Freudian but thats the story.

fwb
Fred,
Yes looks good. I will try the cord through the tennis balls.
The bath type rubber plugs are another option.

How about two shower caps, assuming the stacks sit equally high (unlike Can-Am BBs).

Yes, I had considered a vinyl cover not unlike a shower cap that fitted over the eight tubes.
Thanks again for the feedback

Bernie,
When I bought my Weber's as set came with them. I never used them at all. If I can find them you are welcome to have them. They are in the garage somewhere, I'll have to look.
If you need them sooner look on the web at http://www.inglese.com/
They will have a set made just for your application. I have no idea what they cost since they came with my 44IDA's years ago.

Yes they are ideal. I'll hang out to see if you can find them.
How's the gang at Jay's - been there lately...
Thanks again for the offer to check the garage there.
