Unless it's home to Newark... then it's like that long walk to the gallows.

I made the trip once from CA (home) before I ordered mine and at least a half dozen times from Largo, MD (kind of like Newark w/o the airport!), while I was working at Andrews AFB, by car while it was in construction. Worth every trip (in entertainment value alone!).

I live just outside of Salem, NJ about 20 minutes from the Delaware Memorial Bridge. ERA2100 see my pictures. But going to visit ERA is a great experience. Peter will give you the tour and you feel like a kid in a candy factory! Deffinately worth the trip. I drove up twice.

I too flew in from California. Peter seemed to like the bottle of wine and Doug and the guys in the shop liked the case of beer. There were lots of different cars to look at. Great trip. ERA makes you feel welcome and wanted. Good group of guys and very helpful. Once you have been there you will be asking; "How soon can I get one?"

Wow, could you imagine being an FFR owner who lives in Newark what kind of ribbing you would get from Patrick? What would be the "hat trick"?

As all suggested, I will be taking the ride in the near future. They are planning a slab side, so that's interesting. A longer wait though. This isn't my first time to the build it yourself rodeo, I just need a new project. It's a decision between another 289 and a
GT40....I look at the 289 Weber setup on the table in my home office every day and think.... Damn...I need something to put them on....Even though they look better than they work!!

There's an article in the March edition of Vintage Motorsport on Bruce Meyer's 01 289. Lynn Park and Dennis Cann did the engine rebuild and mentioned that the combo of cam, jets, and chokes make you swear it didn't have Webers if you hadn't opened the hood. It would be interesting to get the spec on that combo.

Is it my imagination or are the tempers just a bit short around here lately? Are we going to force the moderators to close this thread as well?

There are people here that can find answers... period. Your post kills that spirit and especially with no credentials.
