Default ERA 289 FIA in New Jersey

I am considering building a ERA 289 USRRC. If there is anyone with a small block version from ERA in Northeast NJ - Eastern PA or within a decent drive, I wouild really like to see an example in person again, I haven't see one in over 10 years.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

I know of an 289FIA ERA for sale roughly 40 miles west of Philadelphia.

But if you don't get there in the next 8 hours the price goes up 10%.

I have nothing to do with the sale of that car other than posting it on this forum. I do not get a commission (ok, I might get a few loaves of delicious cinnamon bread out of the deal )or make anything by posting Marc's car to this thread..............

I live in Hoboken; my car is actually at ERA for the next week or so.

Suggestion: it is absolutely worth the 2-2 1/2 drive to go to New Britain to check out ERAs examples 10 at a time.

Just fly in, take a cab to ERA, spend a few hours, take a cab back to the airport, and fly home. Don't make this any more complicated than it has to be.

You gotta get up to ERA and check it out for yourself. Once you meet Peter, Bob, Doug and the guys you'll be convinced. They'll give you a personal tour of the shops and show you everything you may want to know about their product.

And lots of it!

I have also heard that cookies may be appreciated by some in the New Britain area.

Bag full of hundreds seem to work well also.
Thanks for the input.

2 1/2 hour drive...versus.... 4 hours in Newark airport......
I'll take the Escalade a thermos of coffee and bore my wife with another automotive tour.

If you're in New Jersey - you have to go to New Britain, Ct and visit ERA. I made 2 trips from Miami prior to putting the deposit down on mine .. and I know of people who have made the same trek from Washington state..to see..learn..appreciate, and as posted above .. to put down the deposit check. You can't go wrong.

If I remember correctly, this 289 at ERA had Joyzee plates. Most likely fastd's ride? Very nice car and DRIVEN.

Definitely worth the trip up to ERA. Be sure to look at many of the different "options" available and soon you will be putting together your build. Keep in mind that there is a wait time to get yours started, so be sure to ask about that as well.

I did see Marcalan's car at a recent show and it is a great alternative if you don't want to wait.

Newark?!? I stay out of there at all costs. Newark is like a roach motel -- I've heard of people making it in, but never making it out....

TButtrick is a master of deduction. Yes: that is Fastd's car pictured above.

Beretta92: You will find that the time on your trip just flies by. I was up ERA 3 times before I bought my car in the aftermarket recently. Peter, Bob, Doug, Rob and others were all very hospitable; they made the time, entertained all my dumb questions patiently, gave me the tour while I lusted after every single car. It was helpful for me to see a bunch of car altogether because after scanning the internet for a long time to figure out what I liked and didn't like I got up there and saw them all in person. I realized that I liked every single one! For example, little stuff like: I thought I needed only Smith guages, but the Stewart Warners look great also! And so on and so on. The biggest questions for me boiled down to color, big block vs small block (and for me undercar exhaust). Last bit of advice: if you really want one and can afford it (new or used), don't torture yourself, just shop and enjoy.

By the way, the ride home flies by because the visit is so satisfying.
