Default Source for puke tank hose?

Does anyone know the part number and source for the clear hose used to plumb the oil puke tank to an Aviaid pan on an FE? Does it need to be high temp? What are you using? I'm rerouting mine and can't find anything locally. Thanks in advance.

I used the clear hose years ago. I believe I purchased it at a pet store where it was sold for use with aquariums. I've also seen it at Home Depot in the plumbing section.

Within a few months of use, the clear hose turned yellow and started to harden. The heat and exposure to oil vapors probably caused that to happen. After about 2 years, I removed the puke tank and didn't use it for about 10 years.

This spring I re-installed the puke tank and used black rubber hose. I like the look of it better than the clear hose.

Aquarium tubing? Seriously? I thought something intended for automotive applications would be used.

I'll check Home Depot tonight and see what they have. Thanks for the leads.

What's everyone else using?

Am I the only one trying to use clear hose?

I used black hose that I got from NAPA. That was years ago and it stood up very well.

Clear hose...more original looking with the yellow patina. Added as much as 23hp above 5,000rpm.

Check out McMaster-Carr.com, look at the "tubing" (type it in within their search area). You can basically select the product you need on the right of the screen by each requirement, temperature, color, wall thickness etc.

What you need is Ultra-Clear PFE rated up to 450 degrees and is about $1.50 a foot. A nice bend radius..but there are many others to choose from there. PFE is what I would recommend for chemical durability, temp and abrasion. Can bend in radius as well.
