Default Air bag in Cobras

Does anyone know if any cobras are built with an air bag in the steering wheel or if anyone has installed such a thing aftermarket or from a donor car? How about side bags? Just curious.

I'd rather not ride in a car with a wind-bag that won't shut up. I like the sound of the pipes too much....

Oh, you said air-bag...

I have never seen or heard of one with them in this area and we have a few builders around here. It seems the side ones would be a problem considering how many of the doors are made. But I am sure that if you look long enough you may find someone who has switched out steering wheels for one with an air bag. And since you obviously aren't interested in originality I think that could possibly be done.

Cobraman,
Absolutely do-able but, it is not just the steering wheel involved. You need to know where and how to mount the sensors, putting in a passenger air is just as do-able. Definitely not you average type car guy job. Use a real pro for mounting and hooking up. I do think side impact bags may quite a challenge but could probably be made to work too.

I've had guys try to put them into street-rods and set them off almost every time by not knowing the wiring or the order they need to be wired.
DV

Ps. Testing is the real chore-to test and NOT to set off is the goal!
