Ok guys, I'm trying to "learn" how to do video stuff after years of photography. I've learned that I'm no so good at the video yet, but...practice will help.
For you camera/video nuts, I'm using a Canon 5D MkII that shoots 21MP stills and 1080P video with high quality lenses. Works really well considering the lack of video skill I have. Here's a picture Sherrie took of me on the track with my gonzo 300 2.8l lens and the video:
Girls dig big lenses. That thing weighs a friggin ton and built like a tank. I dragged a monopod, tripod, backpack with several lenses and junk, and the tank out there....I was a hurting unit!

By the way, if you know the CSX #'s for the cars, let me know. Thanks.

A decent 427 - not the worst, not the best, will go from zero to 100 mph and back down again to zero in less than 14 seconds. All thing considered, you can put together a pretty good argument that the 427 Cobra is the ultimate performance car, judged on any basis you want to name." I usually pass when you guys use "Cobra's" as the plural of "Cobra", but "drug" instead of "dragged"? Is this the Sarah Palin effect or is Dizzy Dean still broadcasting?

Great pictures Brent and that camera looks like a small anti tank weapon. You are doing well with the video and thanks for posting the pictures for the rest of us to enjoy.

Oh my....combination of late night and having been dropped on my head as a baby, sir. I'll fix those right up, and I'll write it on the chalkboard 1000 times today.

Nice shots, and vid, Brent. Looks like you captured Gordon's USRRC Cobra (#52) on Friday. When I met up with him at Laguna on Sat he told me he lost a head gasket running Friday, and was down for the count the rest of the weekend.
I also saw YOU there. I had no idea it was you though. You were shooting track pics on the other side of the wall. I pointed out your gear to my buddy and said "Wow, that guy isn't fooling around. That's some NICE camera gear." TOO funny.

Yup, that was Friday. Man, I wish I had better planned things....mostly on a whim and wasn't very organized....if I was smart, I would have scheduled things out and tried to meet up with folks << Live and learn I guess. Turned out that the two days I was there, I just shot pictures and barely looked up.
As for the camera gear and you seeing me....that is funny. Lots of years of collecting Canon gear and I do now have a pretty complete set now. The big white lens kinda makes a statement - though, like with the Cobra, I'm probably compensating for something.

Yea, after I made the comment to my buddy he pointed out the fact you had several SPARE gigantic lenses at the ready.
I'll have to cut and paste that great link of Gordon's Cobra to him. He wasn't too pleased with the damage to his motor. He even said that's why the hood was down the rest of the weekend... as the heads were off!
