Not Ranked
Not much of an issue with iron block-head combo's, lash doesn't change much
With aluminum heads- iron block, at about 70 degrees, expect about .007" looser lash at operating temp, so set lash that much tighter with engine cold.
With all aluminum engine, about .015" looser lash at operating temp.
I have found it difficult to try to start my engine at about 40-45 degrees ambient temp, when lash is probably 0 or maybe less when cold.

The crowd was jumping up and down as he stunned the Chevrolet drivers by easily passing the entire field to finish second behind MacDonald's other team Cobra. The Corvette people were completely demoralized."
