For all those that think Carroll Shelby is their hero, you fail to appreciate Hugh Hefner. :3DSMILE: |
Well.. you DID say Cobra.
My '03 Cobra.... 594 rwhp, and 551 foot lbs of torque Oh yea.. and ITS black too! :D http://i29.tinypic.com/2jbtxxc.jpg |
Interesting perspective. I recently removed the chrome bumpers and over riders front and rear on my ERA. Replaced them with black quick jacks. I note that not ONE of the cars posted thus far have chrome bumpers/over riders. I think I'm onto something...
I might loose the white side pipes and white wheels next, maybe black is the way to go for max "mean". :) That Venom is a good looking ride in black, but the rear quarter over the wheels doesn't quite look right, something about the lines. Front is OK, but even there... http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a78...C06596Bz80.jpg |
Like everything else in this world we all have our preferences.Pictures of the cars is one thing, being in their presence is another. That is when true intimidation occurs, the way they pound the ground.I personally look for the sleeper cars, the ones you may not notice visually, but feel them coming.

Good point! I've been at car show's or local cruise in's when you hear somebody pulling in. Straining your neck to see what it is. I recall a Pro Street ride just IDLING in, wasn't even reving the engine. The engine pulses from that bad boy were awesome, you could FEEL it as well as hear it coming! And it looked as nasty as it sounded!

I don't have the pictures but in list
Guys Dick Smith's red 198# is first. I don't know of anyone that wanted him behind you racing for a win.
#2 either of the Paxton cobras get second place #3 If you allow them 6 daytona coupes could also be unsettling. #4 Dean Lampe in either the cobra or GT-40 at R&G. He spends more time waving at you than driving. He is also the Lawn maintainance man there. Just have not figured out when he waves, is it's to pull over or you are #1 to him.:eek:**):p:rolleyes::LOL::LOL::LOL: #4 1/2 Mr. James Yale, His nascar driving style of having a car going forward and side ways at the same time on a track. The rubbing and trading paintthing is still in question????:eek:%/ #5 There are 3-4 winged monsters and a black ERA cobra with 58mm Olbergs. They all can rattle your teeth on the way by. Randy Swantz and the Morris car with Steve driving are 1 and 2. This is my top five pick for now, a special note to a few others that may or maynot have cobras, Clois, Lew, Bill F, Bob Self, George A, Tony M. (BDR) John C. and Chuck," i drive with the force" Beck. These guys are all good drivers, but at times better to stay out of their line of sight.:):D:MECOOL: Rick L |
It is perception that makes things intimidating. Chevrolet glass does it. If you are sitting in a Corvette and you see a Cobra of any kind through the windshield, you should feel intimidated!!!
ps: all your pics are wrong.....shouldn't it be a view of the back end of a Cobra?........LOLOLOL |
Intimidation in your rear view mirror, especially with the special cone-head helmet:LOL:

I love the picture of Brent's car in the first post. If I saw that in my rear veiw, I would definately get out of the way!

That blacked out Backdraft does look mean for sure...
|
I also should have mentioned that knowing the driver/owner of a particularly knarly car is in itself can be somewhat intimidating. Will finish by saying, that no matter who or what shows up in the rear view, coming around might not be as easy as one thinks. You just never know what is lurking under those Snake Skins!

Dang, I liked the video of the CSX3020.

Next step for me is to replace the dual round tail lights/reflectors with the single square unit.
Still contemplating the front nose "splitter", street cars had it, competition cars delete. I've had it on, off a few times. Can't decide... |

I don't know how to pull it up, but that one of, I think Brent's car sitting on the side of the road at night in what looks to be Las Vegas looks damn impressive to me.
Can anybody post that? |
