Video of twin turbo Cobra at the strip
I made a single pass down the drag strip a couple weeks ago. Thanks to John Mckeon for taping this and posting it on youtube for me. My 60 ft was 1.67, and I spun on the back half thanks to some fluid on the track. Just missed the 9s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUwYXYSU-6U

Hey Twin,
What motor are you running?? What turbo's?? And what computer/enginge management system??
My twin turbo build is on a 5.0 bored 30 over with Garrett T4's and a MicroTech management system. I hope to have my first engine start within the next 2 weeks.

Earl, I'm running a Dart block 331, AFR 185 heads, twin T3TO4E 50 trim Garrett turbos. Stock computer with SCT chip tuning. Pretty simple set up. I run pump gas and 15lbs intercooled boost.
Earl, you're going to love the turbos. Please post up your impressions when you get it up and running.

Very nice. but, the audio.... listening to that without looking, you could never say that was a v8 ! Real buzzy like a 4. Whats it sound like on the street ? Quieter than say, a standard side pipe v8?

Thanks for the post; Enjoyed the video. Has your engine been dynoed? Any idea what H.P. and weight you are running? And what tires (size and make)?

Unfortunately I was running against a very loud Mazda who liked to peg his engine on the rev limiter (thus the popping sound). Believe it or not that Mazda ran in the 12s, but you could not even hear my engine over all that racket. It really threw me off and screwed up my launch. I tried to make a pass a week earlier and they were lining me up against a 572 ci vette with a parachute on back, that would have made a better video, but they stopped me for no racing gloves.

Cobranip, I had it on the dyno a month or so ago to check my tune with my new turbos. At 13.6 lbs boost it made 563 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno. I drive it on the street (and that one pass at the track) at 15 lbs boost, which I would guess is about 590 rwhp. Here is a vid of the dyno run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_UCN...eature=channel.
The car weighs 2675 with me in it, full tank of gas, tool box, etc. That's how I raced it as well.
Tires are MT ET Street radials 275/40/17. I have 5000 street miles on them so far and really like them. Over 20,000 miles on my car now, I drive it on the street and winding country roads whenever weather allows.
