The previous Superformance distributor in Canada has been out of business since 2007. They imported several rollers as "parts", which is obviously illegal, and Transport Canada shut them down. Superformance products are manufactured by Hi Tech in South Africa. Hi Tech also manufacturers both the MKIII starter kit and the Shelby CSX-6K Cobra starter kit, among others. Both starter kits are available to Canadian customers.

I'm having my Cobra painted by them, which I built myself as we speak. Spoke with Stan the owner and he said he could paint it for $10,000,ouch !! Brought the car in April and they're still working on the body,a few weeks still to go before the completion of the bodywork only. Very long process,their only guy who does the bodywork got sick explaining the delay. Can't wait to see it done.
I will bubble wrap it when it's done so the paint doesn't get scratched.

I understand Superformance is available in Canada again. See the post at Kirkhams in Canada. where 'Mark IV' posted the following on 2014-07-31:

"Actually we have gotten Transport Canada approval for our "Superformance by Riverside" starter kits. The Superformance factory (Hi Tech Automotive) will produce a special, TC approved "starter kit" for import into Canada. This is not available elsewhere and only via us and our Canadian agent."

I don't know whether that says more about Vern or the market for Cobra replicas vs lingerie. I suspect the profit margin for lingerie is much higher.
