Lex, that's a sweet ride. I really like the updates and as an FFR owner have seen some of your posts on the "other" forum.
And while I really like your mods, I REALLY like your dual quads. Been pondering that particular project for several years...
Best of luck on your health issues and hope to see some pics of you driving that beast in the not-too-distant future.

First off, thoughts and prayers are with you in regard to your health issues.
Outstanding job on the Cobra. I would guess by the pictures that it's about a 1000% improvement.

Cobra
is this the same car? If so I have a bunch of stories about this Cobra and a few pictures. You will have to come down and visit. It will take a couple of hours to tell the stories. Of course we will have to eat while your here.

Dwight, I bought it from a guy named Jack Green. I know he used to drive down to Alabama and see some Cobra buddies.
After looking at your pic I see it is the same car. I can tell by the yellow label it tape on the RH door. He had that crap stuck on everything.
If you dont mind can you email me what pics you have? All my old ones were lost in a computer crash.
Send to lexholiman at comcast.net Thanks

Crazy Jack
Lex I emailed the pics of Jack Green's Cobra to you. It's not the same car you bought from him. You have done a beautiful job on Jack's old Cobra. The first time I saw Jack's Cobra I thought it was a "little" ruff. When he raised the hood I thought to myself, "I would not drive this thing across town!".
A month after he bought it he drove it to Daytona Beach Florida, remember he lives in Nashville, Tenn. Later in the year he met us on I-65 in Nashville and convoyed with us to London Cobra Show 06. About an hour from Columbus he had to pull over at a rest stop and take a nap because he had been up for almost two days. When we got to the motel we found out that he had forgot to bring any cloths or toiletries. A visit to WalMart was necessary.
We very quickly named him Crazy Jack. We love him, great guy, fun to be with.
Sunday as we watched the autocross he told us he was going to drive to Canada. One of the guys asked if he had a passport, which he replied he did not. I asked him if he found his wallet, which he had lost when he paid to register for LCS. No, he had not found it. So we explained to him that he could not get into Canada. He thought about it for a few minutes and said he would drive to Akron ( I think ) to see the old telephone that was used for the first AA call. We left to go back to the motel to get a nap before we pulled out that night and he drove North. He came back about 10:00 that night as we pulled out going home. Monday he left for Pennsylvania. He drove a 100 miles in the rain before he reached the Penn state line, turned around and drove a 100 miles back in the rain. I think he drove through 4 or 5 extra states before he returned home. I would not have drove "that" Cobra across town. The radar detector had the top missing. He said it keeps someone from stealing it. The TPS switch on the throttle body was broken but the car ran fine. Ruff car.
Jack is a very intelligent guy, can talk to you about any subject. We love Crazy Jack. Got more stories but have to go get a Cobra starter rebuild.
See ya on the road.
Jack bought a 53 Merc
We keep in touch and he visit us from time to time.
Lex you have done a superb job on a very ruff Cobra.
Dwight

Man I was whining earlier about my hip hurting me while rolling around on the garage floor trying to muscle a new 3rd member up into its axle housing. After reading this, I need to shut my mouth and feel damn lucky. Your obstacles and tenacity really puts it all into perspective. Best of luck with your health and the excellent progress on your car. Please keep us updated.

To the OP....you are living proof that no matter what the kit, it can be made outstanding. Sheesh...that came out wrong. You "done good" ! How's that?
But really, work on your health. It's way more important.

Lex, I email pics of your Cobra to Jack Green and asked him how many miles he put on the Cobra. Below is part of his reply to me.
Dwight
I prob put 10k to 12k miles.
I am very proud of myself that I put that many miles on with no accidents,
(well, parked too close to a curb once) no injuries, only 6 points ( of 12) lost
on my drivers license for speeding ( firefighter plate helped)
and no road side breakdowns or towings....
let's see- drove it to London, OH; down to you guys a few times; the gap in east Tennessee; Orlando, FL; and too many small trips to count. I drove it all the time if it was not raining!
Jack
