It has it's good points, but it's kind of like a concentration camp for special interest cars. At least "up" the number applicants per year.... How much are we really adding to the Smog problem?

I don't even live in California, I mean Mexifornia, but I follow the market there closely. What happens there has an impact, one way or the other, on most of the replica industry. From manufacturing to the sale of used cars. It's to big and to significant to be taken lightly.

Hhmm, oh, sure, make fun of California (which has an annual gross product of over $2T and is about 15% of the US GNP...and is ranked in the top 10 economies of the world--- peered only by nations in that respect).

Gee, should I drive my Cobra to work tomorrow? The weather is going to be sunny and warm... Ah, no worries. I can drive pretty much year 'round.

Heh, heh, heh.

Gee, thanks a lot, Doug, I needed that

Gassed up my ERA yesterday (sunny and nearly 50 degress), added the Sta-bil to the tank....then back to the lift and into hibernation....

Been a mighty short and cool summer here in the heart of the RustBelt.

Ernie,

SB-100 was not meant to be used by any licensed car manufacturer no matter how they do it. And I would bet they put the original engines and transmissions in those cars. Not quite the same as Superformance where any number of engine and transmission types are used. The 500 numbers are gone to fast every year anyway. I agree that it should be stopped.

Saw a black one of these after a baseball game in St. Louis parked in the players lot. I didn't think these were available here. very cool looking car though.

If I recall correctly someone in Australia was using a Skyline for drag racing, an early version, 6 cylinder. They were making something like 800 horse with the motor!

It was raining here yesterday, couldn't go for a test drive with the recent install of my flywheel/trans. Went out today, PERFECT!!! AWESOME!!! Did a magnificant throttle over steer through one particularly nice corner I like. Held the rear out "just right" all the way through the corner and then nailed it when I got straightend out. YE HAW!!!!

Weather was pretty nice today in Santa Cruz, Los Gatos, and West San Jose...

...perfect Cobra driving weather. Drove the Cobra to work, and took the long way home.

Coastal Mexifornia is pretty nice if you are north or south of Los Angeles. Unfortunately I'm in LA... Little too much smog for my taste. When did it rain last?

exactly. I don't see the news value here. New cars being imported need to meet the regulations and laws. these didn't.
