5% in the chips
Well heck, I suppose that 5% is about the closest that I can claim. Still I have plenty of paint chipped off my front end together with some scratches on the underside of the oil-cooler body work.
I have the suspensions mods and have had the car set up for road racing. I am a decent race driver, with about 5th being my best placement, and still heading for a podium.
Thanks for asking!

Hey guys,
I guess I'm around a 5%'er, or my car is, or...anyway, latest upgrade on my Contemparino are some big ass radius rods to better locate the Jag irs. Now if I could just better locate myself on the track....

Raceral-MAN HAVE YOU GOT IT RIGHT! On the other side of the coin, playing with these cars sure is fun. I haven't seen any of the 10% guys set themselves up as elete or esoteric either. If that happenes this thread will get very long indeed.

OK
I think only 10% of my Brain is left after a really hectic summer but let me give this a whirl.
Ther is some 1% but no damage and the car is not ratty. There is a lot more 3% than 5% because I have never voluntarily shown the car. I never won a championship. I have not tried getting to know the car more gradually and I think it would be really tuff to beat me! I run a racing windscreen, 110 octane and non DOT racing only tires whenever I run on the street not to mention open exhaust which require earplugs and advil!!!

Guess I'm about a 6%er....
Got separate rims w/Hoosiers all the way around, upgraded sway bars, adjustable shocks, on board fire system, 5-pt harness on driver's side, 4-pt on passenger's. Seen 150+ at VIR, drive 'waaaay more than 60% thru the turns, though. But, I do show my Cobra, it has no chips - so far at least - and I do keep both top and bottom spotless...(Hey, it's what I do, okay?) Got a Pace 20' Shadow trailer w/tire rack & mounted tool box inside. 393 stroker will idle below 1000, but like you said, it's 'lumpy'...hell, so am I...
So, guess I'm more than a 10%'er, closer to a 5%'er...whadyathink...?

here is an update...
.....based on the latest developments from our recent event at Watkins Glen, informed sources have indicated that the possibility DOES exist that talks may be held between the 10%ers and the 90%ers somewhere in the near future.
Sources have indicated the members of the opposing forces have indicated a dialog may take place at the start of the 2002 season. These sources state that both 10%wers and 90%ers may actually be able to coexist in the same location for short periods of time.
...stay tuned, we'll provide the details as the become available.
Back to you Rhonda and Ken in the newsroom......

Yo....John...
Just wondering if this 'co-existance' will be with the help of copious amounts of lubricants...ie: adult-oriented beverages of the kind containing hops, rice, barley, malt, sugar and water...?

Yo Freddie.....
Based on my personal consumption of Johnny Walker Blue at this event, I would have to say yes!!!!
I was ranting something around the bonfire that I had 8 nipples and I wish I was a dog so I could clean myself.
It got really funny and the next day, all club members took turns holding me up when I would get woozie from bending over.
I think I'll try and talk to mrmustang or Roscoe to put together a fall run to the Glen next year.
It was THAT good of an event and I would love to have one and all attend regardless of being 10% or 90%. We all own Cobras...Lets have some fun!
Now, if you want to take the initiative for next year's Second Strike event at VIR, I think Cranky and I would be more than happy to attend. Maybe I'll pierce all 8 of my nipples for the event!

% breakdown
Go back to opening thread and see where you fit in % wise Don did a great job breaking it down.
Once we get 10% of all Club Cobra Members on the list we will stop bringing this to the top.

I guess I would fall into the .5%-3% depending on which car I'm driving at any given time.

you can add me to the ten-percenters....I own a 2000 Mustang Cobra R, and run that at open track events, but I havent run my ERA cobra on the track yet....and for good reason: since I didnt build it, I want to go over every nut and bolt til I'm convinced its good to go....but work has been busy, leaving time for only attending a few OT's and shows with the '00 R....I'll be running Pocono on July 20th in the intermediate group, along with my girlfriend, who will be in the novice group, sharing the '00 R....so technically, you've got 2 more 10 percenters to add to the list!

I'm about 50% on that event....the SVT Cobra Mustang Club is having their national meet at MAM in Iowa late in October....as much as I'd like to do both events, it might be a bit too much (not track time, but time away from work/home) so I'll try to decide in the next few weeks....The Glen is closer, so I'm leaning towards blowing off Iowa, as much as I'd like to go out there too....hmmmm....
