Default Not this year Fruityass!

Bruce,

As much as I would love to, I can't...I'm tapped out. The Glen cleaned me out. I would love some mo' of yer ribs!!!!

I know NASA has an event at Summit Point like the first weekend in November. I think Mark Adam will be there (he lives 20 minutes away) and Norm Good too.

I just can't afford it. I need to concentrate on paying off my credit cards for the next few months. I spent over $250 on race fuel alone for the Glen.

It will have to wait until May.

....now, when is Rausch Creek gonna open?????

Got the parts today, got some time this weekend to do it, got 25 gallons of 110 hotrod juice, got no more Raki (Thank God!), got a lot to prove to myself and some people who think FEZ cant do it better .

Aint got no more days off, aint got the sponsors (wife) blessing for long road trips, aint got much funds either.

But LRP has two openings, PDA and COM coming up. Just have to get out the snow tires. If NASCAR thinks they can run in NH late Nov, I guess I can double up the nomex and slide off the black part as well any anybody else can.

Darn it FEZ. Mr fundsarelow is crampin' my style too. All the way to LRP is a looong haul for me ,and the Big Boss Lady got them popsicle toes this time of year, real chilly in the fartsack.Guess I'll wait it out 'till next year. Hey ,we can always fight over big or small, real or replica, Ford or Chevy, etc., in the mean time.

I think we all had a great time this event and no one won anything, nobody got first place, nobody was the loser and I think everybody enjoyed the weekend. We were all winners.
Too bad some people don't get this racing stuff.

Cranky- I get it, even "sort" of miss it sometimes to.
Do all of you guys bank together? True sign of any successful endeavor is coming home broke. I know, I tend to live there.

Gentlemen,

...and I use that term loosely! I think the great thing about this past event, was just as Cranky pointed out; we were all winners.

Other than FEZ taking a fatal hit on his ERA, everyone survived three days of hard driving. The best was it didn't matter if you had a Cobra, a Vette, a Pantera, a Mustang or a Mazda...or even a car at all!!!!!!

Folks just showed up to have fun, shoot the sh*t and enjoy a similar interest. I just don't know if that interest was racing or alkee-hall!

I think this would have been the perfect time for all Tri State Cobra owners to put together a poker run to the Glen since the event fell on a Saturday-Sunday. We had the BBQ going, they could have cruised up thru beautiful countryside, met at the track ate a great lunch, watch some racing and have a nice cruise home. You know, Waxers and Racers enjoying the best of both worlds; fast snotty cars on the track and beautiful shiny Cobras all around! Maybe next year.

I always like to meet new folks as well as spend some time with my old buds and get to know a few more just a little bit better.

I didn't drive fast, in fact I was way off my lap times. But I moved up a run group and ran with the big boys. I made sure I stayed out of their way, but it gave me the opportunity to polish my driving skills. I adjusted my turn in points, my braking and I really studied the track. I feel I grew 100% from an educational perspective. It wasn't until Dr. Crankenhammer drove up my butt Sunday afternoon that I went a bit faster in the turns. I was still off my time though.

SuperSnake was asking for lap times. Peter had timed me at 2:42 which was walking the track! Ryan timed me at 2:32. My best time last season was 2:25. I heard that Al Good did a 2:15 in his Pantera, but cannot confirm.

Thumbs up

thanks for the info.

then again figuring it was 40 degrees out, you can't expect tires to warm up in a twenty minute session. unless you put them on the bbq before the run group.

how quick were the nascar trucks?
