Started dead last driving the #88 Taurus usually driven by Dale Jarrett but he gave me my first break.
Three lap shootout , passed 5 cars before turn 1, passed a couple more in the esses but also managed to bounce off of the blue armco a few times, pass a couple more on the back straight and bumped both Tony Stewert and Jeff Gordon out of the way in the bus stop, ran a little high on tha big bend heading for the Nascar straight and banged the wall real hard, having trouble seeing because of the hood crumpled up but still running strong and passing everybody,just bumped Rusty out of the way and am now trying to catch Gordon and Stewert who passed me when I hit the wall. car is real fast. Two to go and I am running about 10th. having trouble passing cars besause of poor vision will pace myself for last lap. Just got by Rudd and can see Jeff Gordon ahead. Last lap passed Wonder boy and now only Mark Martin is ahead of me and I sneak by him going into turn one. I can see those guys behind me and they are trying everything to catch me. I will do anything so they don't pass me. Have a death grip on the wheel and am watching in the rear view mirror. they ain't catching me. easy thru the esses full throttle on the back straight and tip toe thru the busstop easy around the big curve and hard on the gas again for the last straight, one more left hander and a quick right and I am home, there is the checkerd flag. Cranky wins and Mark Martin is second with John Andretti a distant 3rd.

Well time to put my son's play station 2 away the Ball game is starting soon.
