Sorry I've neglected to follow up. Dad and I had a great time at RA. Dad did burn a wheel bearing up on his trailer on the way there, in Elk Horn. Luckily we were 1 mi from the trailer/motorcycle shop there. They fixed us up. Thanks guys.

I started out in the advanced class. Huge mistake. Lets just say I was out of my league. It didn't help I was lost on the track for the first session or 2. After that, it started raining a little bit. All the cars with slicks stayed off the track and I stayed out to learn the track. No speed in the rain what so ever for me.

Day 2 was nice and I moved down a class, which helped. Still a lot of fast cars in that group. The car's main issue at the track was twitchy steering at higher speeds. I have the wrong spacers on the rack and it sits too far back in relation to the wheels. It has too much ackerman. I have the correct spacers for the rack now (still haven't installed, but hope to soon)

That track is way scary when your car doesn't want to go straight. The steering it very light in the front also. I wasn't exactly use to that. Richard tells me it by design. I just need more seat time to get comfortable with it. It didn't help I drove in the rain the day before. I think that made me even more gun shy.

The video below is early on the second day. Track was just staring to dry off and I was still taking it very easy. The straights were cool, but I had no interest in pushing it there. Maybe I hit 120 but no more.

In the turns, the car feels incredible. As I pushed harder on the next session, it was obvious I was not pushing the car. It did everything I tried with no effort at all. Brakes are incredible as well. Still have to get use to that as well.

Before lunch I noticed a cv boot let go and greased up my wheel real nice. I gave up at that point. Took dads cobra out after that and had a ball. He had new NT01s, and I was a little more used to that car. What a hoot. I need those tires on my car. Maybe fore Xmas

Wish I could take credit for pics. A pro was at the track. I think he does stuff for lots of magazines too.
