Bevan 2.6 60 ft is really bad and that's because you had no traction. MPH will tell the story and 117 would probably be mid to high 11's.

Default Bitburg

This video shows my buddy from CobraCorner in Germany in a RAM Cobra with 428FE, fuel injected, on sliks. No gas. I used to dice him before I left Germany in 2001 and actually won in 2000 in Bitburg (airfield, not much traction).

His best time was 10.6, but ever since he tries to get back into the mid 10s.
The halfshafts gave up a few times until he reinforced them using 3"(?) tubing for the XKE rear suspension.

OK, I know this is a two year old thread by the OP, but from my perspective, in an open car as raw as a Cobra replica, I don't really mind if it's a nine second quarter car or a 14 second car.....the exhilaration factor is unbelievable in either.
Long may there be cars as politically incorrect as ours!!

Cheers,
Glen

QWIK 1 - is that your car? If the tach is to be believed, it doesn't mind revving. Looked like 6800 on the 2 step and an 8000 limiter. Nice!

Obviously, it's easier to go just as fast without a lot of fuss by adding a couple of hundred more cubic inches, but doing it with only 306 cubes is pretty cool!

Holy thread revival Batman! Nice to see some quick Cobra's, but as xb-60 said these cars feel fast no matter what. My Hellcat ran 10.8 at 127mph bone stock with drag radials but for some reason my Cobra feels just as fast. (I am pretty sure it is not)

They are cool at any speed! 👍

750 you are correct. It loved to rev. Sadly I was overdoing it a bit and had a catastrophic failure of the lower end. Just about to fire up a 347 with the same upper end. Hoping for 420 rwhp. We'll see.

Here is a fairly famous drag race on FerrariChat.

I'll revive this thread again! lol

@QWIK 1: Nice run! Really nice! What was the HP on that old 306cid?

I'm planning to run mine once this summer just to see what it'll do. It's a 347 with 385 at the wheel. T5 tranny and 3.55 gears. 17" 315 tires. I have a 3 link rear. It's an airport strip with little to no prep.

Question: how the hell do I launch this thing without lighting up the tires?! Seriously, do you think I'll need to roll it out and then get on it?

What air pressure would you suggest starting at on my Nitto NT01's? 15psi?
